I've learned over the last few years is to stay away from all the negative news I hear on the t.v..  It just exacerbates my anxiety.  Of course I know what's going on in our broken world.  All of it is just so heartbreaking.  What I'm absolutely sure about, is that God is in complete control.  No matter what happens, I know He has a greater plan for all of us.

Whether or not you are a Democrat or Republican, we should keep these Bible verses on the forefront of our mind.

Verse to consider when hearing of negotiations between world leaders… “First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.”

1 Timothy 2:1-2 (CSB)

ABOVE ALL, LOVE

Jesus commanded his followers to love their enemies (and neighbors, fellow believers, and, well… everyone). Yes, that includes people who disagree with you on the Trump verdict.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them… But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High.”
Luke 6:32, 35 (CSB)

AROUND HERE.

A sunflower popping out of a garden-bed-knot-hole.  Wondering what this plant will look like in a few months.  Enjoying one of the last bonfires of the season.  Taking lots of photos of all the flowers we have around the house and in the garden.  Watching our tomato and potato plants grow.  See you soon Summer.

PROGRESS ON MY 366 DAY ALBUM.

366 prints ordered from Persnickety Prints.  This project was a labor of love and represents snapshots of my everyday life.

I didn't start documenting until May 1st, 2023 and I'm ok with that.  What matters most to me is, I just started.  And better yet, it was a LEAP YEAR!!

It's taking 2 albums to fit all my photos.

One album done!  One more album to go!

Here's a link to the page protectors.

Taking a break before I continue with the second album.

I made a quick little video of album number one.

Enjoy!

WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THAT DRYER LINT.

Our local birds are making nests in our bird houses.  When I cleaned out the lint trap in our dryer today, I almost threw it out.  I had an idea to put it outside tucked away in a fence that's close to our feeders and their future nesting homes.  It's a wait-n-see if they catch the bait.

MY 366 DAY PROJECT! IT WAS A LEAP YEAR!

It's been a while since I have done this project.  I've done it before and really enjoyed the process.  Everyday, I would take one photo and upload it to the Collect App I have on my iPhone.  Every month, I would upload the photos to persnicketyprints.com and place an order to have shipped to me.  Here's a sneak peek of the project I'm currently working on.  To be cont..

Here's a link to the album and the page protectors I'll be using.

I'm so excited!!

PSALM 25:4

Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.

This verse is a gentle reminder for me.  It reminds me to be patient, trust and live in faith.  And breathe.  Always breathe.

Gorgeous afternoon light and fresh cut flowers from our yard.

And a reminder to capture self portraits of me.

CURRENTLY.

 It's all about:

1.  Walking around the yard and taking photos of all the flowers

2.  Watching Matt plant lettuce in our garden.  Can not wait to harvest our own veggies.

3.  I ordered some photos from Persnickety Prints I had turned into Polaroids for my 365 day project.

4.  Having a fence built around part of our house.

NINETEEN.

My youngest turns NINETEEN!

These were the only candles I had in the house. 😜

We celebrated by going to Dutch Bro's for her FREE birthday drink.  She ordered a 32oz. Churro Freeze.

She wanted to go to Runway Fashion in Medford for some clothes.  She is currently wearing her new shirt jacket and it looks great on her.

Took her to Target for a puzzle she wanted.

She got some new paint and brushes for her sketchbook.

She requested pasta with pesto and grilled chicken for her birthday dinner.

Two of her friends came by with homemade cupcakes to wish her a happy birthday.

(After a 7 year hiatus, I'm going to try blogging again. 🙌)
